At the end of the 1950s, and in the early 1960s, Blue Note Records headquarters were located @ 47 West 63rd St., New York 23. Personally, I feel this was the "Golden Age" of Blue Note, and my hands down all time favorite Jazz records emerged from this renaissance period. This era of Aflred Lion's visionary genius yielded some of Rudy Van Gelder's greatest recordings, Reid Miles' most groundbreaking design, and without a doubt Francis Wolff's finest imagery. At this certain pinnacle, it all came out of 47. And so, I pay homage..
